About Bruce
Bruce W. Fraser, a long-time resident of New York enjoys many aspects of the city, especially Wall Street, probing the minds of the best and brightest there.
A native of Upstate New York, he began his thirty-plus years as a journalist as a staff writer and editor for Gannett Newspapers in Rochester, New York. Later, at Fairchild Publications, as a bureau chief in Houston, Texas he covered the Southwest, for their various magazines, including Women's Wear Daily and W.
Since then, he has written hundreds of articles for magazines and websites about all aspects of business and finance, trends in business, how business works, publicity, entrepreneurship, the environment, corporate sponsorship, and management.
He has also traveled on assignment for the Christian Science Monitor, the Journal of Commerce, and other publications, to Paris, Madrid, Barcelona, Edinburgh, Dublin, San Juan, the North Sea, and elsewhere.
Bruce has taught communications courses at several New York colleges, including Baruch College of CUNY and Pace University. Bruce is active in community affairs and does volunteer work at St. Michael's Church.
His memberships include the American Society of Journalists and Authors (ASJA), of which he is a former officer, the New York Financial Writers' Association (NYFWA), and the New York Historical Society.
He received a dual MS degree in journalism and political science from Syracuse University's Newhouse School of Public Communications and Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs.
